Lifetime
Shad Valley is an exciting
learning and leadership opportunity designed for outstanding senior high school
students who are well-rounded and strong academically. The program runs in
July at 10 Canadian host universities. Shad Valley is delivered by Shad
International, a not-for-profit education organization based in Waterloo,
Ontario. Visit www.shad.ca to download

Youth Education Network
YAN is an educational tool for all citizens, a place to exchange ideas and
express yourself in favour of sustainable development. Teachers from 3rd grade to 11th grade will find it useful to involve their students.
The main objective of YAN is to raise awareness in youth age 9 to 16 to help
them understand issues at home and around the world and let them participate
actively in resolving those issues by getting involved in international
solidarity. Encouraged by the Minister of Education of Quebec, the Canadian
International Development Agency and Canadian Heritage, YAN reaches out to all
Canadian youth.
Many resources are available with YAN, such as the free “journal In-Terre-Actif”,
the online library, which holds more than 1000 documents, the educational games
and the educational kits. There is much more for you and your students to see
at: www.cstm.qc.ca/in-terre-actif/.
