Submitting an article to The CAP Journal
These guidelines are intended to help
authors submit articles to the editor in the correct format. For further
information, please contact the Editor, Marie
Schutt.
We encourage CAP members and
representatives of CAP provincial/Territorial Affiliates to submit articles.
All articles, disks, photographs, copyright release forms and correspondence
should be addressed to:

Length
The suggested length of a feature article is 1500 words, or approximately 6
double-spaced pages.
Approval process
Articles go through an approval process that can take some time, so please
submit your article as soon as you can. The process involves approval from
the CAP Editorial Board. Normally, we do not require extensive rewriting
and we usually help with any changes or editing.
Format
Please submit the article by email preferably using Microsoft Word.
Alternatively, you may cut and past your article within an email and send it to cap@bellnet.ca
Author Information
Please include your name (contact author's name), address, telephone and fax
number(s), as well as the names of all co-authors with your submission.
Please also include a one or two sentence biography for each author.
References
Please ensure that all references are complete and concise, giving full credit
as necessary. Authors are responsible for carefully checking references
for correct spelling of names and correct publication information.
Photographs and Artwork
Please submit photographs of the author(s), as well as any photographs and
artwork that could accompany the article. On the back of the photograph or
artwork, please credit the photographer or artist and list the names of the
subjects, if applicable, from left to right. Also include return address
on the back of the photo or artwork, and the editor will return them (upon
request) immediately after publication.
Copyright Release
A copyright release statement from authors of feature articles should be submitted
with your article. Submission of this statement does not guarantee publication.
Editing
All articles are edited by the editor before publication to conform to The CAP
Journal standards of style, grammar, spelling, clarity and presentation.
After Publication
Upon request, the editor will return all photographs and artwork to author(s),
along with complimentary copies of the CAP Journal featuring the article.
